Point Two Design is a Canadian company that has cool products from custom maps to woven blankets. For this project we updated their homepage and got their custom map product working as intended. It took some time but once I was able to get it to work from start to finish I was so excited.Where: Explore Digital

Custom Map Product
Before I started on the project I met with the client to figure out what about the product wasn’t working. After getting the information about the product and what wasn’t working I duplicated the theme so I could start troubleshooting the issue. I found that there was some coding that wasn’t firing at the right time so it wasn’t exporting the correct size so I adjusted it. I also found with help from the client that the correct wasn’t being exported to the service they were using for printing. Once I was able to find the code for that I was able to adjust and have both the front end and printing service export the correct size for the maps. It was a long process since I wasn’t familiar with the code that was used to create the initial product but the client was understanding and patient when it came to getting the map working. Once it was working they were so happy too because it hadn’t been working for so long that they were happy to be able to provide it again.
